With its commitment to environment care, the S. Alam Group has taken substantial steps with an investment of about BDT 150.0 (USD 2.6) million at its all manufacturing plants for the environment Protection.

Right from making the river protection at the site of Cold Rolling mill Complex, the existing C.I. Sheet manufacturing plants and Vegetable Oil Refining Plant are equipped with effluent Treatment Plants to neutralizing the industrial wastes.

The Cement Plant is also equipped with most modern automatic switching type dust filters to control the air pollution around the plant.

The projects of CGL and CRM Complex are having integrated effluent treatment plants to treat all liquid industrial wastes as well fume scrubbing systems to control the air pollution.

The Cold Rolling Complex is also being equipped with the Acid Regeneration Plant to almost 100% recycle the waste acid and by minimizing its imports shall save the foreign exchange.
